MSWW Scholarship
Berger-Marks Young Worker Fund & Labor Supported Scholarships
The Berger-Marks Foundation seeks to bring the benefits of unionization to working women and to assist organizations committed to those principles; they award grants to union programs that will benefit, promote, and develop women, especially young women, in the labor movement.
A limited number of full scholarships will be awarded to applicants under the age of 35. Winners of the Berger-Marks Foundation-funded scholarship will be required to submit a one-page report on the training to the Foundation not later than one month following the summer school. A digital photograph of the winners will also be submitted to the Foundation.
In addition to the Berger Marks Foundation Money, several union organizations have committed resources to fund participants at the School this summer. These awards may be either full or partial scholarships.
We encourage you to first seek financial assistance, wherever possible, from your local union or worker center. We also ask those of you with access to your area’s Central Labor Council to approach the council for support as well. If you can pay any portion of the costs from these sources, we will be able to give out more scholarships and allow more sisters to attend the school.
